Introducing the stately vessels of Cunard Line!
These are not your ordinary cruise ships, in fact they are not truly "cruise ships", they are, under the technical definition, "ocean Liners" for which there is a dramatic difference.  An ocean liner is a vessel built to withstand the rigors of the North Atlantic or deep sea ocean travel, rather than the calmer Caribbean waters. These ships are designed to be stronger, faster, and they offer a higher-level of comfort and overall stability.  Many ocean liners of the past were "ships of state", meaning they represented an entire country.  The English had the Mauritania and Queen Mary, the French had the France, and America had the SS United States to name a few.  The Cunard Line is a company that has deep roots with tradition and a proud heritage of fine ocean liners that spans 160 years of trans-Atlantic travel.  Today you can still experience that tradition by crossing the Atlantic aboard the Queen Mary 2 or the Queen Victoria.  Soon, Cunard Line will unveil a new Queen of the Seas, the Queen Elizabeth.
