Do I need to get the insurance?
It is highly recommended that you purchase the Cancellation Insurance, but
it is optional. If for some reason, you had to cancel your cruise, the insurance will cover the cruise ticket.
The insurance also covers you when you are on the cruise if by chance you had an accident, and needed medical attention.
Most cruise insurance also covers lost or damaged luggage too. It's just a smart thing to do...to get the insurance,
but again...it's up to you.
