Onboard Charge Accounts

On most ships, you may charge all of your drinks and other services to your cabin account and pay the bill one time at the end of the cruise with either cash, traveler’s checks or credit card. Most ships do not accept personal checks. Most ships have a no-cash policy during the cruise, however, you may pay your account at the end of the cruise with cash if you desire. When you arrive at the pier to check in before your cruise, you will be issued a special onboard identification card that also acts as your charge card while onboard. Don’t lose this card it is your pass to get on and off the ship. Parents who bring their teenage children can have special limitations put on their cards with a limit as to how much they can spend, and a “no alcohol” stipulation. Check with your Purser onboard with any questions about your onboard charge account. Be sure to check your bill carefully for possible overcharges or accidental double charges.
