What to Wear

During the day, dress on board is casual. There are two “dress-up” nights during a seven night cruise, and one “dress-up” night for shorter cruises. There may be three “dress-up” nights during a ten night cruise. If you like to run or jog, remember to bring your tennis shoes and sweats. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes for walking around the deck and for in the ports. For what to wear the next day, refer to your daily program the night before. Ladies, you may want to bring a light sweater, because the air conditioned lounges can be a bit cool sometimes. Also, what you bring to wear depends on what your itinerary is. If you are cruising the Caribbean, light cottons are good to have, shorts, and all around warm weather clothes. If you are going to Alaska, you may want to bring some rain gear, an umbrella, a windbreaker, hiking boots, and a couple of sweaters.

Formal
On these nights you can get dressed up as you like. Gentleman, if you have a tuxedo…now is the time to wear it. Please remember that if you don’t have a tux…don’t worry – a jacket and tie is fine. Ladies, a long or short cocktail dress is appropriate.

Informal
Gentleman will be asked to wear a jacket and for the ladies, a dress or pant suit is appropriate.

Casual
Gentleman, an open shirt and slacks are fine and for the ladies, anything you’d like to wear is appropriate. No shorts are allowed in the dining room for dinner.
