The Queen Mary in Long Beach, California has special meaning to me; it was visiting this ship in 1977 that first sparked my fascination with ocean liners, I chose to attend a college in southern California because it was near the Queen Mary, I spent a lot of time with friends touring the ship, and finally proposed to my wife aboard the Queen Mary in 1997.  That's just my connection to the ship, however; the Queen Mary has captured the imagination of millions since she was first launched in 1936.  She has experienced two careers, one as one of the most beloved and famous ocean liners in history from 1936 to 1967, then as a museum, hotel and landmark in Long Beach from 1971 to today.  MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the Cruising Authority event aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach set for February 6th, 2010.

** Cruising Authority pays homage to the illustrious Queen Mary **

Please RSVP using the form below to let us know if you will be able to join us aboard the Queen Mary on February 6th from 4-8pm in the restored Verandah Grill.  We will be producing a number of exciting shows from the Queen Mary and you won't want to miss seeing your Host of Cruising Authority, Barry Vaudrin, in action as he talks with some fascinating guests in front of an audience. The best part is that you'll be able to meet others who also listen to Cruising Authority and share the same interests in cruising, cruise ships, ocean liners and of course the Queen Mary.  For those who cannot make it to this event, you'll be able to of course hear the shows produced onboard as well as see our latest videos filmed aboard the Queen Mary.  For those listeners who live in the southern California area, try not to miss this event!
