Cruise Industry Journalist Mr. Laurence Miller

Co-Author of the Dictionary of the Cruise Industry, Laurence worked with Giora Israel, Vice President of Carnival Corporation to write this detailed book about cruise industry and cruise ship terminology.  If you have ever picked-up a Cruise Travel Magazine, there’s no doubt you have read an article about a cruise ship with 50 articles published in this magazine alone.  Laurence has also written for the Miami Herald about cruise ships, and many cruise industry publications like: Cruise Digest, Onboard Marine, Travel Weekly, Traveling Times, Onboard Services, and Travel Agent: the National Newsweekly Magazine of the Travel Industry.  Laurence has been given the ALA/ASCLA Professional Achievement Award in 1993, and he was awarded the Intellectual Freedom Award from the Florida Library Association in 2005.  With a Ph.D of Librarianship and a BS in Education, Mr. Miller has expressed his love for the cruise industry with the hundreds of articles he has had published.  Laurence currently lives in Miami, Florida, and can often be seen aboard the cruise ships as a journalist, to document and creatively write about what the ships have to offer.
