Ken Muskat has been appointed vice president,
Sales, Royal Caribbean International. In his new role, he is responsible for consolidating the cruise line’s distribution
strategy and overseeing various teams, including the field sales organization throughout the U.S.
and Canada; inside sales; special events;
and sales communications.
For the past eleven years, Ken Muskat
has worked in a number of different capacities within the Royal Caribbean International organization. His first few years
were spent with Fleet Operations where he played an integral role in the creative development of shipboard entertainment and
programming.
Ken later moved to the Strategic Planning area where he helped develop and
then eventually lead a new Product Development and Marketing organization. In this capacity, he was responsible for managing
the Product Marketing, Product Development and Strategic Direction of the Royal Caribbean International vacation experience
including recommendations on destinations, hardware, shipboard experiences and shoreside experiences.
In April 2002 Ken transitioned into the Sales Organization as Director, Key
Account Sales, and in 2004 was promoted to Regional Vice President of Sales. Currently, Ken is responsible for the East Region
Sales Organization consisting of 37 Customer Business Development Managers and 3 Sales Directors who call on the 4000+ accounts
residing in the Southeast, Northeast and MidAtlantic regions. He is also responsible for the regions Market Development strategies,
the brand’s Homebased Channel and the brand’s Special Events and Sales Communications teams.
Ken was born and raised in Miami,
Florida and graduated with a BA Degree in Advertising/Communications from the
University of Hartford.
He is also a graduate of the Syracuse University
study abroad program in Madrid, Spain.
Ken proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Children's Cancer Caring Center.
