A Senior Cruise Industry Executive, Joseph Ewart has been entrenched
within the cruise industry for over 30 years. Joe was instrumental with the introduction of the SS Norway
in 1980 at Norwegian Caribbean Lines, and in 1984 he founded Cruise Holidays International, the first franchisor of cruise-only
agencies in the U.S. Mr. Ewart has held executive leadership positions with a number of small cruise lines that specialize
in one-day cruises, and in 1999 he became the VP of Sales & Marketing with CruiseOne which later merged with Cruises Inc,
becoming the largest independent cruise retailer network in the world with over 900 members. In 2005, Joseph Ewart was
inducted into CLIA's Hall of Fame for his distinguished contributions to the cruise industry. Joe has been
married for 25 years and has two grown daughters. Joe currently operates a consumer cruise website called CruiseJungle.com and Greatports.com.
Joe Ewart was
on Cruising Authority in July of 2008 as you can see above, and he was on our show again April 28th 2009 as the President
